However, PHP may not be the best choice for high-load applications that require great performance, such as real-time games, mobile applications, or IoT solutions. In such cases, technologies such as Node.js or Python may be more suitable.

PHP also allows for quick API setup and is a common backbone for frontend applications in Vue or React.

Like any programming language PHP has security challenges such as SQL Injection or Cross-Site Scripting attacks.
