Our client's primary objective was to automate the creation of product bundle titles and descriptions. This task, previously performed manually by ChannelEngine's customers, was repetitive and time-consuming. It involved crafting unique titles and descriptions for each product bundle, which are sets of products sold together as a single package or offer.

OpenAI: The catalyst for change

ChannelEngine developed an AI-powered feature that automated this process. By feeding a formatted list of product details, including product name, size, and brand, into OpenAI, the AI could generate a title and description for each product bundle. This saved time and allowed ChannelEngine's customers to focus on more strategic tasks. Amsterdam Standard is proud to have contributed to this new feature. We really encourage more clients to explore the immense opportunities that AI brings for their digital products.

 

The integration process was straightforward, but it required a shift in thinking as queries to OpenAI are formulated in text form, not in a structured data format. The team faced a few challenges in the development phase, such as generating descriptions in the wrong language and additional white spaces or unnecessary descriptions in the results returned by OpenAI. These issues were resolved by modifying the queries to OpenAI.
